The Beer Can Glass

When a bartender slings someone a beer, most people don’t think too much about the glass their beer comes in. Most of us are only concerned with tipping that glass back and enjoying our blood orange IPA, nitro stout, or occasionally, for those that want to kiss the sky, the 16% Tweak from Avery. But if there’s a truly unique and noteworthy glass you will notice. Enter the Beer Can Glass.

People love these things. They’re light, they’re different, and they’re great to drink out of. I know what you’re thinking: it’s a glass dude, relax. But I’m telling you they’re great! The clean can shape throws a nod to the classic soda and beer can. The inverted lip on the glass gives a different but really cool feel when drinking out of it.

They certainly aren’t only for beer either. Bars and restaurants will also serve water, cocktails, ciders, pop (or soda, depending on where you’re from) in these slick glasses. They can be customized with logos or artwork for businesses, wedding favors, giveaways at parties or tastings, and any other event you want people to keep a memorable gift from.

When I open my cabinet at home it is full of standard pint glasses, which are great. But admittedly when my wife and I crack beers we both reach for the can glasses first. There is just something about them.

They make great gifts as well. We have some in our Longmont vs. Everybody collection and they always sell like crazy during the holidays. They make for an easy stocking stuffer for the beer aficionado in your family.

So the next time you’re trying to think of a clever gift or giveaway idea or, if you own a bar or restaurant and want to serve drinks in a unique way, consider the can glass.
